What: The suitcase factory Rimowa GmbH, based in Cologne, is a manufacturer of suitcases made of aluminum and polycarbonate. At the end of 2016, the French luxury goods group LVMH took over 80 percent of the company's shares. The characteristic feature of Rimowa luggage is the parallel folded groove structure of the suitcase shells, which is reminiscent of the aluminum outer skin of Junkers aircraft.
